Siwaraya is a writer, performer, and voice actor/narrator. She has been a commissioned poet for the Department of Cultural Affairs City of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and Philadelphia Asian Performing Artists. Siwaraya has consulted on the New York off-Broadway premiere of Brothers Paranormal, NCIS: New Orleans, as well as poetry and children’s books. She is a Voices of Our Nations Artists fellow, a Girls Rock Philly alum, and the founding member of The Decades, a multidisciplinary intergenerational group of Black and Asian women artists. Her work is in the upcoming anthology "We the Gathered Heat: Asian American and Pacific Islander Poetry, Performance, and Spoken Word" set for release September 2024.
In this thoughtfully curated, intergenerational collection, poets of multiple languages, lands, and waters write against and through the contested terrain of Asian American Pacific Islander identity.
Honoring women artists and activists who have impacted and redefined the human experience. 2024 EMPOWERMENT will honor the work of two National Medal of the Arts winners: Maxine Hong Kingston and Bella Lewitsky.
